Prayer Request

Let's Start an Epidemic of Prayer for Jews and Finish the Story For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; they shall prosper that love thee. Psalm 122:6 In the book of Ruth we see a beautiful story of Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz – a story of love, friendship and loyalty. It’s a spiritual mystery as well, an awesome truth about God’s plan for the age. Naomi represents the Jew, and Ruth, the Gentile. At the beginning, Naomi’s life ends up blessing Ruth’s life. At the end, Ruth’s life ends up blessing Naomi’s life. It’s profound. The Jew, Naomi, was born to bless the Gentile, but the Gentile is “born again” to bless the Jew. Through Naomi comes salvation to Ruth; through Ruth comes redemption to Naomi. That’s the same way salvation came from the Jewish people to bless you – who are not born a Jew. You are now grafted into the nation of Israel and are a fellow citizen. You have your own Jewish roots in Messiah. You are a child of Abraham, an heir of the promise. It is beautiful, but that’s not the end of it. Your blessing came, as with Ruth, through the Jewish people, so that you could bless back. The story is only complete when you do that. You see, the Jewish people were born to bless you, but you were born again to bless them. So pray for them and for the peace of Jerusalem. Bring the Word to get them saved and support the giving of the gospel to them. It’s time to bless Israel back, those who blessed you. It’s time for you to finish the story. Set aside special time today to pray for Israel. Pray that peace may be restored and for salvation to reach all who do not know Messiah. (written by Pastor Jonathan Cahn * Hope of the World Ministries *PO Box 1111 * Lodi, NJ 07644) E.G. White; Acts of the Apostles, pg. 381 In the closing proclamation of the gospel, when special work is to be done for classes of people hitherto neglected, God expects His messengers to take particular interest in the Jewish people whom they find in all parts of the earth. As the Old Testament Scriptures are blended with the New in an explanation of Jehovah’s eternal purpose, this will be to many of the Jews as the dawn of a new creation, the resurrection of the soul. As they see the Christ in the gospel dispensation portrayed in the pages of the Old Testament Scriptures, and perceive how clearly the New Testament explains the Old, their slumbering faculties will be aroused, and they will recognize Christ as the Savior of the world. Many will by faith receive Christ as their Redeemer. To them will be fulfilled the words, “As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” John 1:12 Among the Jews are some who, like Saul of Tarsus, are mighty in the Scriptures, and these will proclaim with wonderful power the immutability of the law of God. The God of Israel will bring this to pass in our day. His arm is not shortened that it cannot save. As His servants labor in faith for those who have long been neglected and despised, His salvation will be revealed. I am thoroughly convicted that God is soon to open the eyes of Jews that have not yet accepted their Messiah and want to be prepared to share and to receive more of the riches of His Word. The Apostle Paul writes in Romans Chapter 11 that we (Gentiles) obtained these riches due to some of the natural branches (unbelieving Jews) being cast off the olive tree. However, God is able to graph them in again. “If the loss and defeat of the Jews was overruled by God to produce riches for the Gentiles, how much more would the repair of this loss mean riches for all.” S.D.A. Bible Commentary Pg. 607 By the way, the olive harvest is the last harvest of the year, the end of the age. I truly want to be a part of such a revival and outpouring of the Holy Spirit, don’t you? More Prayer! More Power! More Blessings! Please join us in prayer to God every Sabbath at 1:00 PM for Israel’s victims of terrorism. Also, please pray for their protection and salvation and the restoration of their relationship with their Savior. Thank you all so very much. Hello, My name is Marlene Rowe-Mason I am an SDA member that recently relocated from Culver City CA (West Los Angeles Japanese SDA Church) to Hixson TN. I am presently looking for a local church in my area so I don't have a prayer group yet to bring this request. It may seem strange that I am emailing you; however, my friend’s sister just lost her husband to stoke. My friend asked me to minister to her since I went through very similar situation as she is going through right now. Even though I am praying with her and for her and sharing my life experiences of how God brought me through those times, I would like to find the right church and right person from her local area to help her go through her grieving time through Jesus Christ and to minister to her as I am so far away. She lives in Derry NH and I would like to have someone Christ like to entrust this wonderful soul. If you have a woman ministry of woman prayer group or just any Christ like, compassionate and willing to do that, please give me a call at 323-804-7753 or email me at marlene_rw@yahoo.com and I will be glad to give more details of the situation. May God bless you, as we look forward for the second coming of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Truly, Marlene

Hello, I am Andrea Sutherland, a Seventh-day Adventist from Kingston, Jamaica. Recently, in May, 2010, the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists launched a website with address http://50daysofprayerforgc.info/ to facilitate church members to pray 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 50 days for the 59th General Conference Session to be held June 23 through July 3, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. At that website, Adventists can sign up to pray for half an hour or one hour, thus forming a 24 hour prayer chain. Also, 3ABN television (www.3abn.org) has caught the vision and has organised a worldwide "One Hour of Prayer" for Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 9:00am for the General Conference Session. The Bible says "Pray without ceasing" 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Hence the need for the proposed Pray Adventists! website, which would allow millions of Seventh-day Adventists, God's commandment-keeping people, in over 200 countries, to sign up up for a time slot to pray together for 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year for the actual prayer requests of the General Conference, ADRA, Adventist Missions, Divisions, Union Conferences, Conferences, ministries of the church, churches, evangelism etc., that is, to pray for for the work of the church at all levels. Also at the Pray Adventists! website members could read and upload praise reports. "Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me..." Psalm 50:23 Such prayers would rise as sweet incense before the throne of God. What praise reports there would be as we see the mighty, wondrous works of God! "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12 "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 "And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword." Leviticus 26:8 The purpose of this message is to invite your church members to pray for the creation of the Pray Adventists! website, and also to invite each of your members to contact the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists asking the General Conference to create the Pray Adventists! website, which would make permanent the General Conference prayer initiative started by the http://50daysofprayerforgc.info/ website. Let us not only pray for 50 days, but pray every day until Jesus comes again. The General Conference can be contacted by going to the www.adventist.org website and by clicking on the "Contact" link at the right side of the home page. For Jesus said "...for without me ye can do nothing" John 15:5 "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive" Matthew 21:22 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them" Matthew 18:20 If the General Conference should receive thousands of requests for the Pray Adventists! website, I believe they would act promptly and create such a website. Ellen White wrote: "The cause of God needs the labors of men who have faith, men who can pray, and who can open the Scriptures in simplicity to the people." Spalding and Magan Collection page 436 "We are not willing enough to trouble the Lord with our petitions, and to ask Him for the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Lord wants us to trouble Him in this matter. He wants us to press our petitions to the throne." Last Day Events page 188 "...ye have not, because ye ask not" James 4:2 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened" Matthew 7:7,8 "A revival of true godliness among us is the greatest and most urgent of all our needs. To seek this should be our first work. There must be earnest effort to obtain the blessing of the Lord, not because God is not willing to bestow His blessing upon us, but because we are unprepared to receive it. Our heavenly Father is more willing to give His Holy Spirit to them that ask Him, than are earthly parents to give good gifts to their children. But it is our work, by confession, humiliation, repentance, and earnest prayer, to fulfill the conditions upon which God has promised to grant us His blessing. A revival need be expected only in answer to prayer." Selected Messages Book 1, page 121 "There is nothing that Satan fears so much as that the people of God shall clear the way by removing every hindrance, so that the Lord can pour out His Spirit upon a languishing church and an impenitent congregation. If Satan had his way, there would never be another awakening, great or small, to the end of time. But we are not ignorant of his devices. It is possible to resist his power. When the way is prepared for the Spirit of God, the blessing will come. Satan can no more hinder a shower of blessing from descending upon God's people than he can close the windows of heaven that rain cannot come upon the earth. Wicked men and devils cannot hinder the work of God, or shut out His presence from the assemblies of His people, if they will, with subdued, contrite hearts, confess and put away their sins, and in faith claim His promises. Every temptation, every opposing influence, whether open or secret, may be successfully resisted, 'not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.' [Zechariah 4:6]" --Review and Herald, March 22, 1887. I look forward to the support of your church members. Pray that God will grant us the Pray Adventists! website and let us act in accordance with our prayers, by lobbying the General Conference to create the Pray Adventists! website that Adventists may pray together 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year for the work of the church. Visit www.adventist.org and send in your petition by clicking on the "Contact" link at the right side of the home page. Yours in Christ, Andrea Sutherland andrea_suther@yahoo.com
